more than a place to play
Play, discover, connect and simply be.
a place for everyone
We believe that everyone deserves to feel welcome.
From soft lighting and gentle music to warm textures and natural materials, every detail of our space has been thoughtfully considered to create a mellow environment where children can be themselves.
We are proud to be an inclusive and accessible space, celebrating different abilities, backgrounds, cultures and ways of being. Most importantly, we want every child to feel that they belong, with the freedom to play, explore and discover at their own pace.
kind to people and planet
We care about the world we are creating for the next generation, too.
Wherever we can, we choose sustainable materials, reusable products and thoughtfully sourced ingredients, while looking for simple ways to reduce waste.
From the toys children play with to the food we serve, we make choices with both people and planet in mind.
our guiding principles
At the heart of everything we do are six guiding principles that shape who we are and how we make decisions
-
Little Fig is more than somewhere to play. It's somewhere to belong.
We want to create a place where families can meet, connect and build relationships. Whether that is catching up with old friends, making new ones or simply becoming a familiar face in the community.
Through events, classes and shared experiences, we are creating opportunities for people to come together.
Because the best communities are not just places you visit. They're places where people know they belong.
-
More space. Less crowding. A better experience.
We intentionally keep our sessions small.
This gives children more room to move, play and explore safely, while giving grown-ups the opportunity to relax and enjoy the space too.
It also means that children of different ages can play alongside one another without needing to be separated into different areas.
Our sessions are designed to give you enough time to settle in and enjoy Little Fig without feeling rushed.
-
We want Little Fig to be a place where families can feel comfortable being themselves. Our spaces are designed to be accessible and welcoming to children and grown-ups with different abilities, backgrounds, cultures and ways of being.
From the way our space is designed to the experiences we create, we aim to make sure everyone can take part, feel comfortable and enjoy their time here.
We know there is always more we can do. If there is something we could change, improve or do differently to make Little Fig more welcoming for you, we would genuinely love to hear from you. Your feedback will help us make the space better for everyone.
Because belonging should not depend on who you are, how you move or what your family looks like.
-
Kindness matters. Always.
We want Little Fig to feel welcoming not only for the families who visit, but for the people who work here too.
We ask everyone who comes through our doors to treat our team and other guests with kindness and respect. We will not tolerate abusive, discriminatory or deliberately unkind behaviour.
We are creating the kind of place where people can relax, enjoy themselves and feel comfortable being part of the community.
A little kindness goes a long way.
-
Children deserve to feel safe. Families deserve to feel respected.
The safety, privacy and wellbeing of our guests, particularly children, is fundamental to everything we do.
We will never share photographs or videos of your child on our website, social media or elsewhere. We believe that you should be able to enjoy your time at Little Fig knowing that your family's privacy is respected.
We also ask all guests to respect the privacy of other families. Please do not photograph or film other people's children while visiting Little Fig.
Cleanliness is just as important. We maintain high standards throughout the space, with regular cleaning of play areas, surfaces and facilities throughout each day.
-
We care about the world we are creating for the next generation.
We believe being a responsible business means thinking carefully about the impact of the choices we make.
Wherever possible, we will choose sustainable materials, reusable products, local suppliers and thoughtfully sourced ingredients, while looking for practical ways to reduce waste.
We are also working towards our own sustainability goals and in time, towards B Corp certification - using our business as a force for good for people, communities and the planet.
In everything we do, we will keep asking a simple question:
Can we make a better choice?

Hi, I’m Paige. Mother to three children under six, very proud owner of two spoilt Chihuahuas and the person behind Little Fig.
Before Little Fig, I spent ten years as a commercial property lawyer. After having my youngest, I found myself at a bit of a crossroads - continue along the traditional path towards partnership, or take a leap and build something of my own.
I chose the leap…
